The Security Officer at RRHS works to assure safety of patients, visitors, staff and property.
Works proactively to prevent theft and vandalism.
Work may involve high risk with exposure to potentially dangerous situations which requires range of safety precautions.
Works with potentially unpredictable individuals requiring that teamwork and communication with other security officers and staff are critical.
Physical interaction with such individuals requires strength, stamina, flexibility and critical thinking.

Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premisesPatrols hospital premises to prevent fires, theft, vandalism and intruders.
Participates in investigations and maintains reports and documents relative to security activities.
Controls parking and traffic flow, enforces parking regulations.
Maintains departmental records, reports and files as required by supervisor.

Is knowledgeable of areas of high regulatory risk that impact job duties.
