*Position Title: *Outreach Coordinator
*Department: *Child Advocacy Center

*Position Purpose**:*
Manage and Coordinate outreach activities to include education and advocacy in the community to increase awareness of interpersonal violence, available services, and link survivors to services.
In addition, the position will educate the community about prevention, the importance of addressing issues, and the challenges associated with survivors.
*Responsibilities:* _Direct Service: 80%_ · Oversight of all outreach presentations/curriculums for the community to include but not limited to expansion: Lethality Assessment Program, Safelight 101, Second Steps, and Darkness to Light, etc.
· Represent Safelight by attending networking events, participating in workshops or conferences, and giving presentations encouraging education, advocacy, and prevention.
Refers donors and volunteers to development team.
· Hospital/SANE exam accompaniment support as required.
· Support with Trainings and Outreach activities as needed.
· Support for Pathways/Camp Hope America as required.
_Program Development: 10%_ · Assist with the development of programs and curriculum/collateral presentation material and content for use in training.
Ensure curriculum is well organized on public share drive so it is accessible and replicable by other staff.
· Stay abreast of current events, data and policy initiatives, and best practices that have the potential to impact our programs and services.
· Maintain knowledge of local community resources and ensures clients can access needed services via on-site service provision and community providers.
Build and strengthen partnerships with agencies and organizations we partner with to expand our outreach services.
· Develop and implement a plan that includes strategies to increase overall levels of awareness and to target hard-to-reach or vulnerable populations.
Conduct research to find best practices for marketing, education, advocacy, and coalition building to help address emerging issues and challenges related to our population.
· Attends required meetings including weekly treatment team, staff training, staff meetings, and supervisory meetings.
· Check voice mail and email when on schedule at minimum twice a day.
_Record Keeping - Database and Reporting: 10%_ · Maintaining/tracking and recording volunteer records and ensuring that volunteers complete all required paperwork (applications, confidentiality, background checks, time sheets, etc.
) necessary to continue their work.
· Track program needs from staff for volunteers (website) to plug into and donation needs (Amazon) updated to reflect how volunteers can support the agency.
· Track and complete data reports for outreach activities (Osnium, Excel).
· Complete reports monthly on outcomes and other data requirements as needed.
· Track and complete data reports as needed for outreach activities (Osnium, Excel).
· Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the agency and those it serves.
*Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:* · Accredited University bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or comparable human services degree.
· Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience, Organizational and time management skills.
· Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
· Strong administrative skills and self-motivation with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner.
· Familiarity and experience working with federal, state, and local funders.
· Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality.
· Ability to express ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing following policies and laws.
· Possess good interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with attention to maintaining appropriate boundaries and ethics.
· Ability to think independently, work as a team, and to make ethical decisions.
· Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
· Ability to problem solve utilizing critical thinking skills.
· Demonstrated interest in the mission, vision, and values of Safelight Inc.
· Ability to stand, stoop, and sit for long periods.
· Ability to lift up to 15 pounds without assistance.
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment.
