**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong love for animals, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and veterinary technicians, gaining valuable hands-on experience in all aspects of animal care.
A Day in the Life:
Assisting veterinarians and technicians with animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures
Providing compassionate care and attention to animals in our facility
Performing routine laboratory procedures, such as blood draws and sample collection
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and treatment areas
Educating pet owners on preventive care and treatment plans
Assisting with administrative tasks as needed
Skills & Requirements:
Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital or animal care facility
Strong passion for working with animals and providing exceptional care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physically fit to handle animals of all sizes up to 50lbs.
