Antique Green Iridescent Jewel Beetle Wings/Vetiver Container w/Lid - $185 (Asheville)

Vintage from the 1940's or earlier.
Green iridescent jewel beetle wings and vetiver roots (natural grasses).
This beauty is an antique although I'm not sure how old it is.
It has long hand writing on the bottom which seems to indicate a long ago era.
At its widest, it has an almost 7" diameter and it is about 4" tall (not counting the 'carrying strap' part.
It has a small 2 inch diameter base.
The entire basket or carrying item or whatever it was made for has beautiful scallops all around incorporated into it.
It is made with vetiver roots (also called khus-khus) and embellished with green iridescent beetle wings.
It has red velvet accents and dark blue velvet accents.
There is an unusual, metal 'wire' with extremely tight 'crinkles' in it which surrounds the green beetle wings and highlights all the decorations.
There are also small round sequin embellishments all throughout.
The writing on the back says "A basket made of the fragrant kuskus/the fibrous part of a plant.
" I can't really make out the top part (which is the dedication to whom this is for).
The last photo shows what these root fibers look like.
Apparently, they are fragrant (but this item is not because of how old it is).
Also, because of its age, it is NOT in perfect condition.
Two beetle wings are missing and a few other ones are missing a bit here and there.
