Description:
Black Mountain Home is looking for a dedicated Summer Recreation Counselor to join our team.
This role is perfect for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent, who ideally has experience working with children in a recreational setting.
As a part of our Christian ministry, you’ll be at the heart of our mission: Glorifying God by caring for children and families.
Your role will involve developing and supervising camp-wide programming, building relationships with campers, and ensuring their physical and emotional safety.
This job requires a high level of energy and attention, as well as professionalism in all interactions with youth, including maintaining boundaries and not sharing personal contact information.
You’ll need to be able to work independently and as a team player, demonstrating punctuality, professionalism in dress and hygiene, and a positive attitude.
The schedule is coordinated weekly with the Recreation Coordinator and may include occasional evenings and weekends.
Successful candidates must complete all application processes, including background checks, registry checks, and fingerprint clearance.
