Essential Functions Must possess excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of Christian hospitality to exceed guest expectations.
Acknowledge guests upon entry into the store with a warm friendly smile & greeting.
Limit cell phone/tablet/computer use.
Wear and maintain clean, pressed staff uniform, to include wearing name tag.
Comply with all safety and sanitation policies, practices, procedures related to Covid-19 for business operations, to include; wearing mask and clean gloves.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to supervisor, or the Human Resources office.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.
Cafê Accurately take coffee (café) orders, handle all guest transactions, including accurate exchange of payment transactions through the use of Point of Sale (POS) system.
Use proper food handling techniques for properly preparing products including but not limited to preparation of hot and cold coffee beverages (required), storing refrigerated products, and cleaning of equipment.
Maintain a clean work station at all times.
Books & Gifts Consistently maintain proper stock levels and keep all displays clean and organized.
Opening and/or closing store as scheduled using approved checklist.
Interact with guests on the sales/display floor when not handling POS transactions or when 2 or more staff are working.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and 1-3 months relevant Barista/Retail experience.
Hospitality experience strongly desired.
Must have demonstrated good communication skills, client relation skills, and a commitment to providing responsive and caring customer service.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs, multiple task demands, and work structures.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, emails, and memos.
Ability to effectively present job related information upon request to customers, clients, and employees of the organization.
Proven computer skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills is required.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of customer, clients and employee questions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formats.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule Working Conditions Light to moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous activities with quiet to moderate noise.
Well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned indoor setting with adequate ventilation.
Ability to coordinate work, frequently moves about, able to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods, manual dexterity to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, talk to and hear staff and customer requests, and also lifts or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must have adequate vision to carry out daily activities.
