The calves stay with their mothers through their whole life cycle.
They get a little sweet feed to keep them docile and easy to corral for humane handling.
No antibiotics and no hormones.
Cows are a mixture of Heavenly Herefords, Red Devil Angus and the famous Black Angus.
We select for gentle nature, good birthing and good beef.
This beef was processed in January.
We take them to Wells and Jenkins in Forest City to process.
They let the meat age for two weeks then they process and flash freeze.
The meat goes straight from our farm to processing to our freezer.
Ground beef ends up being somewhere between ground chuck and ground round.
In my opinion it makes some of the best hamburgers you will ever eat.
