I'm selling my Ampeg SVT 2 (II) bass amp, Ampeg 8x10 cab, and SKB rack case.
If you're familiar with SVT's, then you already know that this is quite rare!
This is not the cheaper "pro" series that they produced afterwards, and most closely relates to a racked Classic.
They produced these during the MTI era, and it probably was built in 1991.
I've used this exclusively as a recording amp- it's only been in climate and humidity free studios.
The SVT 8x10e is cosmetically rough, but the speakers and inner workings are solid and working perfectly.
This was my touring cab for years (with an Eden), hence the Tolex wear.
You could fix it up if you so desired.
These amps are very hard to research, as they don't come up very often on Ebay or Reverb.
There is one current listing that I found in England at $1500 GBP, or around 2k American.
I attached the photo.
Reverb has their "value chart" in the $1400-$1500 range, also attached as a photo.
$2000 for everything, and I'm not looking for trades.
Serious buyers are welcome to come and try it out.
It does not lack punch.
I'd consider selling just the head.
Here's a quick description of the inner workings-
