TRIC stands for Thermally Regulated Instrument Case.
IMHO, this is far and away the best lightweight guitar case that has ever been designed, which makes it that much sadder to realize it currently is not available.
Here's a link to a full description of the case technology from the Godin Guitars website: https://godinguitars.
com/tric.
htm The case is in excellent condition from our non-smoking home.
I would not be selling it were it not for the fact that I have accumulated way too many lightweight guitar cases.
I am currently listing four others on Craigslist, and hope that three or more of those sell first, so that I will wind up keeping this one.
I especially like that the case is shaped such that the "bottom" side (the side opposite the handle) is flat over its entire length, which makes it much more stable when set down than any other lightweight case I have used.
I had never heard of TRIC until I happened on a photo of folksinger Peter Yarrow -- a guy who flies incessentally with his guitar -- toting one on his back in an airport.
I have used this case with Martin "D" dreadnoughts, Gibson round-shouldered J-bodied guitars, and a Larrivee L-bodied 12-string.
I measure the interior of the case at 43" (overall length)) x 16" (lower bout) x 12" (upper bout) by 6" deep.
