Swedish Scandinavian Kontrabasharpa/Nyckelharpa Keyed Fiddle - $1,500

This is an old style Nyckelharpa.
This instrument was used during the Baroque and Medieval period.
As opposed to the Chromatic nyckelharpa which has a row of keys for each string the Gammelharpa uses 1 row of keys that play the melody string and some keys operate 2 strings at one time.
when pressed the two notes make a complementary chord.
Standard tunings are DAA and DGA but you can play around with them a bit.
I can explain basic maintenance for nyckelharpas as well.
The instrument itself is in fantastic condition.
It was made by Bo Nilsson in Sweden.
The reason for selling is that I upgraded to a Kontrabasharpa that had more quarter notes and do not need this one anymore.
The instrument comes with a hard case and gig bag.
It will need a bow.
(loose bow recommended) The instrument is intended for droning.
