How will you make an impact?
The Manufacturing Engineer III will be responsible for testing fabricated metal components and finished products to ensure accurate fit, form, function, and cosmetic criteria and to identify any quality control issues that need to be corrected.
They will also participate in the R&D aspects of the job, including sample preparation, and production operations.
We’re looking for a professional with experience in data collection and interpretation as well as the fabrication and creation of work instructions, safety instruction and equipment specification in a laboratory setting.
A Day in the Life:
Read, analyze and releases test results.
Define inspection and test methods to analyze product quality.
Statistically analyze test results and provide data driven recommendations for solution.
Capture and analyze data to compare the performance of material and products.
Perform measurements and summarize results of fabricated sheet metal components.
Maintain accurate notes and record of analysis of equipment.
Operate and calibrate R&D fabricated components.
Develop and follow SOPs.
Review and discuss Root-Cause Analysis, Corrective Action and lesson learnt.
Provide feedback to department personnel on the observations made during QC special instructions and R&D and FAI's.
Works with departmental and/or multi-functional peers to complete assignments, under limited supervision.
Keys to Success:
Education & Experience:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field preferred.
Equivalent work experience and knowledge can substitute.
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years if work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Good knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
Experience maintaining detailed records.
Good communication and presentation skills.
