Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings
- Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, and other professionals to ensure plumbing systems are installed correctly
- Follow blueprints and building codes to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, and water heaters
- Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or questions
Skills:
- Proficient in various plumbing techniques including pipe threading, soldering, and welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration with plumbing systems
- Valid driver's license for commercial driving purposes
- Familiarity with power tools used in plumbing installations and repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and find effective solutions
- Experience in construction plumbing is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and repairs
